Location and Population
The village of West Unity is located in eastern Williams County. Located
at the intersection of two major highways, U.S. Route 20-A, a major
east-west highway, and U.S. Route 127, a major north-south highway. The
80/90 Ohio Turnpike interchanges are approximately 5 miles east and
another approximately 8 miles west of the village. We are located
approximately 50 miles West of Toledo, 85 miles Southwest of Detroit,
150 miles West of Cleveland, 190 miles East of Chicago, and 50 miles
east of Fort Wayne Ind. The Village has a population of approximately
1,750.
Industrial Development Corporation
The West Unity Development Corporation has Industrial lots available.
Larger industrial sites are also available in the village. Existing
building spaces are available in the West Unity Industrial Parks. Tax
abatements, grants, State and Federal development programs are possible
incentives for industries locating in our community. For information or

Water, Sewer and Utilities
The Municipal water system is supplied by three wells between 105 and
107 feet deep. Water pressure is maintained by a 100,000+ gallon tower
100 feet above the ground. Additional storage tanks of 250,000 and
500,000 gallons for fire protection only are located in the industrial
areas of the Village. Water system expansion is possible. A newly
constructed sanitary sewer system with secondary treatment has a
capacity of 500,000 gallons per day. Natural gas service is supplied by the Ohio Gas Company. The village
has an almost endless source of electrical power that is supplied by the
Toledo Edison Company.
